Fire Hearths
Here at Bierton & Woods we pride ourselves on our high quality of service. We only use stone of the highest quality for our fire hearths. It is sourced from specially selected quarries from both the UK and overseas. This ensures that we are exceptionally confident with the quality and allows us to offer very competitive prices.
The particular style of hearth is determined by which use it is intended. A solid single slab is ideal for gas fires and a two part hearth is better suited for burning solid fuels as it allows the stone to expand and contact when heated. Your fire hearth can be made in a variety of types of stone, colour and finish to best suit your desired specification and compliment the surrounding furnishings in your home.
Granite is a great choice as there are a wide range of colours and finishes for you to choose from that would best suit your home. It is also able to withstand extreme heat whilst maintaining a polished lustre and uniform texture for which it is rightly praised. It’s superb resistance to heat and weathering ensures that it holds its natural colour no matter how long that it’s in service. It’s also a very familiar stone for our skilled masons to cut and re-join, meaning that it is ideal for the use of hearths for wood-burning stoves and real solid fuel fires.
Unlike many online companies we welcome you to contact us or visit our workshop to discuss your desired requirements and see the range of stones and colours that we have to offer. Here we can give you the best advice as well as offer you the best competitive cost and estimated completion time.
